The land keeps a calendar.
A wedding venue has a season. A working landscape does not. Green Tree Coast is designed so there is a reason to be here in February, and so that the reason is genuinely good.
The lake
A man-made lake, stocked and fished year round. Boats out at first light, lantern evenings, and trails that connect it to every other part of the property.
One honest note: Pine Barrens groundwater is acidic, roughly pH 4.3 to 5.0. That is excellent water for chain pickerel and yellow perch, and poor water for trout. The lake will be designed around what the ground actually supports rather than what sounds best in a brochure.
Quail and the uplands
A licensed upland bird preserve and a skeet field, both sited at the far boundary of the property with terrain and canopy between them and everything else.
There is no shooting during a booked event, none on Sundays, and published hours the rest of the time. Those limits are written into our own application rather than extracted from us later. A shotgun and a ceremony cannot share an afternoon, and we designed around that from the start.
Miles before anyone is awake
Sand tracks run between the lake, the uplands and the houses. Soft underfoot, flat, and quiet enough that you will meet whatever else is using them at that hour.
The wildlife here is the wildlife that belongs here. Whitetail on the tracks at dusk, fox in the scrub, heron working the shallows, quail in the low cover. We are not importing anything, and we are not going to pretend the Pine Barrens is somewhere it is not.
The best hour on the property
Mist comes off the fresh water before the sun clears the treeline. A table at the edge of it, a board, something cold, and no particular plan for the next two hours.
This is the part of a stay that nobody books and everybody remembers. It is also the argument for the houses being where they are, close enough to the water that walking out of one puts you on the shoreline.
The sanctuary
Roughly eight acres of managed paddock, fenced and sheltered, held to proper standards of space, feed and veterinary care. Not a roadside attraction and not an exhibit. Animals in good ground, seen quietly.
It sits deliberately apart from the ceremony clearing and the houses, with distance and canopy between them, for the same reason the shooting ground does. It is also the part of the property that will need the most paperwork, and we would rather over-permit it than explain it later.

How we actually live
Up before light. Out in it. Something hard, then something quiet, then food that is actually food. That rhythm is why this property is shaped the way it is.
A real training building rather than a room with two treadmills. A forest spa with sauna, steam and cold plunge. Trails you can run. None of it is a bolt-on amenity, and none of it exists to fill a brochure page.
